Selected Achievments
- Currently manages portfolio of pipeline, terminal, and retail sites in New York and Pennsylvania for two major oil companies. Site activities include: workplan development; bedrock aquifer characterization; soil characterization; active remediation including total phase extraction, soil vapor extraction, air sparge, bioremediation, and ozone injection; groundwater fate and transport modeling; surface water modeling; site visualization modeling; and soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling for demonstration of attainment.
- Achieved release of liability for numerous pipeline, bulk storage, and retail service stations under Pennsylvania's Land Recycling Program (Chapter 250) and Storage Tank Corrective Action Process (Chapter 245) for background, site-specific, and statewide health standards.
- Achieved site closure and regulatory inactivation for pipeline sites in New York.
- Performed cost-effective rapid response activities for petroleum pipeline releases including: performing immediate surface water, groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling; coordination of drilling, vacuum truck, and excavation subcontractors; effective communication between clients, Right of Way personnel, homeowners, and regulatory agencies.
- Developed a community water supply for a local Water Authority. Work elements included utilization of geophysical assessment, fracture trace analysis, well construction oversight, aquifer testing reporting and PADEP/DRBC Permitting. The water source developed exceeded demand, thereby creating an excess for future community growth.
- Developed and executed a major PCB contaminated soil excavation project for a large industrial client in Philadelphia, PA. Responsible for coordination of subcontractors, field personnel, hazardous material disposal, budget management, and third party communication.
