Selected Achievments

• Involved in the development of subsurface environmental remediation technologies for petroleum related compounds in the 1980's. Processes include development and deployment of pump and treat technologies in the early 1980's, as well as design and operation of in-situ bioremediation treatment programs with the inventor of the process.
• Presently involved in the design, installation and operation of state of the art remediation methods, including total phase extraction technologies and horizontal remediation wells for air sparging, vapor extraction and fluids extraction.
• Successful design, installation and operation of dual-usage horizontal wells. These wells were designed to pump total fluids initially, and modified at a later date for high-flow ozone sparging.
• Specializing in horizontal remediation well testing and design of fluids pumping, soil vapor extraction, air and water treatmentmethods, and air sparging/ ozone sparging systems.
• Design of systems and performance of accelerated in-situ cleanups and site closure prior to property transfer.
• Project coordinator for RBCA demonstration projects for major oil companies and the State of New York.
• Project manager and technical consultant for RCRA site in southeastern Pa. site. Duties involved regulatory interaction and negotiation as well as design and installation of investigatory program and remediation systems.
• Project coordinator for a multi-respondent pipeline release site in southern New York. Duties included regulatory interaction and negotiation with the USEPA and NYSDEC. Responsible for testing , design, installation and operation of cost effective remediation (eleven horizontal air sparging wells) for this 15-acre site proximal to a river.
• Currently serving as principal remediation specialist for petroleum refineries in southeastern Pa. duties include incident response, investigatory program design and implementation, and remediation system design and installation.
