Selected Achievments
- Project Manger for commercial and industrial land development projects, represent client at public meetings, coordinate and manage design of civil site improvements including stormwater management facilities, sewage facilities planning, and erosion and sediment pollution control plans.
- Project Manger for an investigation of commercial water supply wells related to an NPL Superfund Site, including conducting and evaluating long term pumping tests, determination of capture zone areas, and optimal pumping alternatives.
- Developed a regional ground water flow model using the USGS MODFLOW program for a U.S. Army site as part of a continuing remedial investigation.
- Developed a cross section model of a site using the USGS MOC model in order to evaluate ground water concentration of nitrates resulting from the land application of wastewater sludges.
- Project Manager for the installation of bedrock wells at a coal tar site in Pennsylvania as part of an EPA-mandated remedial investigation.
- Conducted several ground water flow analyses for pump-and-treat remediation programs at several hazardous waste sites using analytical computer models. The purpose of these modeling efforts was to simulate several ground water remedial alternatives and to evaluate the effectiveness of each alternative.
- Conducted an evaluation of ground water concentration of nitrates resulting from the land application of wastewater sludges using the USGS MOC model.
- Performed surface water modeling using the U.S. Army Corps HEC-2 program for a landfill site. The purpose of the model was to evaluate proposed streambank stabilization alternatives in the vicinity of the site and their impact on the river water elevations for various frequency floods.
- Conducted a ground water development investigation at a proposed hazardous waste landfill site. Alternative water supply wells for residential use were sited, installed, and tested. A summary report was prepared as part of the facility siting permit application.
- Project Manager for annual monitoring program for regional water supply wells for a large public water utility. Oversaw monthly monitoring of well water levels and streamflows. Evaluated monthly data and prepared annual report for submission to regulatory authority.
- Engineer for several comprehensive ground water supply projects involving hydrogeologic studies, test well drilling, production well design and installation, pump test data collection and analysis and permitting.
